Frootaz Place was founded in 2016 with a mission to bring fresh smoothies and fruit salads to the Nigerian market. Oluwatosin Koya, the visionary behind the brand, saw an opportunity to offer busy professionals nutritious, fruit-based meals.

In the Early Days, Frootaz operated an order-and-deliver model, delivering smoothies and fruit salads to offices. However, logistical challenges led to the opening of their first permanent location in Victoria Island, Lagos, in 2017, where the business thrived, serving nearby corporate offices.

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Frootaz adapted by partnering with supermarkets and restaurants, ensuring their products remained accessible. This helped sustain the business through challenging times.

Post-pandemic expansion saw Frootaz Place opening a new store in Madiba Mall, Lekki, in January 2022, and forming a strategic partnership with i-Fitness Gym in 2023, leading to smoothie corners at their Maruwa and Lekki Phase 1 branches.

In March 2024, the Lekki Phase 1 branch introduced a sit-and-dine space with free Wi-Fi, enhancing the customer experience.

Looking forward, Frootaz Place continues to expand, with a focus on cleanliness, affordability, and quality, aiming to become the leading brand for healthy, fruit-based meals across Africa and beyond.
